  • The decision to rebrand in 2023 was driven by the recognition that our previous name, Community Living Campbellford/Brighton, did not accurately reflect the breadth of our service area. As an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of people with developmental disabilities, it is essential that our name aligns with the communities we serve.

    In making this transition, our inspiration was also drawn from changes within the sector. The Canadian Association for Community Living, a national organization with which we have aligned ourselves, has rebranded as Inclusion Canada. This shift reflects a broader movement toward emphasizing inclusion as a guiding principle in the work we collectively undertake. By aligning ourselves with this national trend, we signal our dedication to inclusivity and our commitment to staying at the forefront of best practices in the field.

  • Yes, Direct Service Workers at Inclusion Northumberland provide support in areas such as personal hygiene, medication administration, appointments and more, based on personal needs.

  • We support people in multiple different program areas such as Community Homes, Individualized Passport Funding, Supported Independent Living, Life Share, Employment Supports, Adult Respite, Child Respite, and Children with Special Needs Respite.

Inclusion Northumberland is a non-profit organization that provides support and services to people with developmental disabilities that promotes opportunities for personal growth within their community. We are a Nationally Accredited organization and have maintained our Accreditation standing since 2000 in each of our quality reviews facilitated by the Council on Quality Leadership.
