The decision to rebrand in 2023 was driven by the recognition that our previous name, Community Living Campbellford/Brighton, did not accurately reflect the breadth of our service area. As an organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of people with developmental disabilities, it is essential that our name aligns with the communities we serve.
In making this transition, our inspiration was also drawn from changes within the sector. The Canadian Association for Community Living, a national organization with which we have aligned ourselves, has rebranded as Inclusion Canada. This shift reflects a broader movement toward emphasizing inclusion as a guiding principle in the work we collectively undertake. By aligning ourselves with this national trend, we signal our dedication to inclusivity and our commitment to staying at the forefront of best practices in the field.
